Wohali Newsletter: August 2023

Summer is winding down, and the cooler mornings are a sign that fall is just around the corner. Kids are back in school, and leaves will begin to change colors shortly. Wohali will soon transform into a valley of vibrant colors, including reds, oranges, and, of course, the bright yellows of the Aspen trees. With much of the Golf Course now a vibrant green, we look forward to seeing the contrast of colors. We have had a busy month at Wohali with the Golf Course nearing completion, the Gatehouse taking its final shape, the entry ponds taking final form, utility infrastructure continuing to expand, informal entry taking final shape, and even the final grade of Village Way in preparation for asphalt.

The release of Wohali Village with four unique floor plans is even more exciting. Each floor plan will deliver a new quality standard in materials, build, craftsmanship, and owner experience – a standard not seen in a community of this scale before. Owners of the Residences at Wohali Village will have their vision seamlessly brought to life through white glove experiences and partnerships with the Wohali interior design team. From carefully curated design palettes to bespoke selections, no two homes at Wohali Village will be the same. Please review the Availability & Village map below for more information. With over 150 people on the Wohali Builders team, we have the astute benefit of seeing daily progress throughout the community. Stonemasons are finishing up the exterior of the Manor House, which will receive furnishings in less than four weeks. Meanwhile, multiple construction teams and master craftsmen are working on the finishing touches inside the Manor House. Master woodworkers are installing wood veneer on the walls in the lounge, private dining room & bar in the lower level of the Manor House while a separate team is laying the subfloor and tubing of the radiant heat before the hardwood floor goes in shortly on the upper floor.

At the same time, construction continues at Wohali's Gatehouse. The structure is fully framed, and the first layer of wood siding was installed on the structure's exterior. Nearby, the team begins working on the entry ponds and creek adjacent to the Gatehouse. The trees and shrubs are onsite that will finish off the elegant entry to Wohali.

Seeding and sod is complete on 17 of the 19 holes on the Eagle Championship Golf Course, and the team is beginning to focus on bringing the course to life in preparation for its opening next summer.

Below, you will find further details and images of our progress at Wohali. We look forward to sharing more exciting updates shortly. Of course, please reach out to schedule your tour to see the progress firsthand!

Gatehouse Construction Update

Progress continues at Wohali's Gatehouse, where the construction team framed the interior walls, installed exterior sheathing in preparation for the masons to install rock veneer, and constructed the infrastructure of the porte-cochère's ceiling in preparation for the grass roof.

As you enter Wohali through the Gatehouse, you will notice multiple ponds on your left. The ponds have been dug and lined by Wohali's team and will be filled in the coming weeks. Once the water features have been filled, the team will begin to work on the surrounding landscaping elements.

Manor House Construction Update

With finishing touches going into the Manor House, we have been able to schedule furniture installation on the top floor in just under four weeks. The roofing team is on-site installing the Tesla Solar panel roof, while Wohali's in-house Stonemasons are completing the finishing touches on the building's hand-sculpted exterior. The pergola-covered patio entertaining kitchen is now outfitted with the grill and paella cooktop and awaiting the wood-fired pizza oven and steel paneling to finish the space off.

Owners will also be able to play golf on one of two Trackman Simulators which will be installed this fall. Of course, we still have the Trackman Simulator available for play at 625 Main St as well. The Manor House will act as our interim Club House until our main clubhouse is finished. The Manor House is a work of art and something you have to see to understand the future of Wohali.

Golf Course Construction Update

The Wohali Championship Golf Course will be complete by the time our next newsletter is sent. We are excited to tell you that seeding and sod are complete on 17 of 19 holes, with Golf holes 15 & 16 nearing completion. The grounds team is very busy now mowing and trimming the golf course below the bluff and now has sod and seed to water and maintain above the bluff. The cart path that works up through the bluff and through the Wohali Cut from hole 10 to hole 11 and, of course, back down from 16 to 17 is also nearing completion, with guardrails and drain water management nearly finalized. We are eager to get this monumental accomplishment done and focus on bringing the course to life in preparation for play next summer!
